For your first class, Professor The Fog will help you expand your relationship with sound + space through creating your own work inspired by Alvin Lucier's trailblazer "I am Sitting in a Room".

In the first class of term 1, your teacher Robin the Fog helps you to produce a creative response to Alvin Lucier's landmark work "I Am Sitting in a Room" [first performed in 1969] and in doing so to challenge the way you experience your environment through sound.

To do it you'll need:

1. A recording device [a smartphone would work]
2. A device for playback with speakers and SD card slot
3. 2x SD cards
4. A human voice
5. A room
6. Understanding neighbours
